About our work in conservation
Trees for Better Africa works closely with communities in Kenya to restore landscapes and improve livelihoods through tree-planting activities. By engaging local communities, the organization helps restore degraded land, increase tree cover, and support environmental conservation efforts that benefit both people and nature.
We Preserve the nature
Since 2015, Trees for Better Africa has engaged communities in tree-planting projects. These projects have been implemented in degraded forest lands, community farms, and schools. We have also conducted agroforestry training and sensitized communities living near forests on the importance of forest conservation.
Support for sustainable goals
Our organization supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by promoting poverty reduction, gender equality, clean water and sanitation, affordable and clean energy, decent work and economic growth, climate action, and life on land. Through these efforts, we contribute to building stronger and more resilient communities that can better respond to environmental and social challenges. Our work is guided by the belief that sustainable development is essential for creating long-term positive change.All these efforts are aimed at fighting climate change and improving livelihoods. Our approach to environment.
We not only plant and grow trees, but we also help communities understand the importance of caring for the environment. Through awareness creation and training, we encourage people to take part in protecting natural resources and adopting sustainable practices that support both people and nature.
By working closely with communities, we help them see how tree planting contributes to improved livelihoods, climate resilience, and a healthier environment. This approach builds ownership and encourages long-term commitment to environmental conservation for the benefit of current and future generations.

Trees for Better Africa, initially registered as Mount Kenya Environmental Conservation, is an environmental conservation organization registered in Kenya since 2015. The organization’s mission has been to restore landscapes while improving the livelihoods of local communities. To date, we have seen communities transformed through improved landscapes and better livelihoods. Farmers have seen their land revitalized, their incomes improved, and more food on the table.
This has been achieved through collaboration with the government, including various departments such as the Kenya Forest Service and the Ministry of Agriculture, as well as with development partners.
